electronic kits and modules to market.

The founding of Zifnu Electronics LLC, and product development
Over the course of the second half of 2015 I developed what would become the Zifnu Rocket Kit #1, and created
the brand identity and related assets for Zifnu Electronics LLC. I officially founded/registered the company at
the end of October 2015. By this point I had already completed testing of the final prototypes, established the necessary
relationships with the China-based manufacturing partners that would be producing the various components of the
Zifnu Rocket Kit #1.
Over the next several months I produced short runs of the kit components using the finalized specs, materials, and chosen manufacturing partners. These components were tested for accuracy, quality, and were necessary, adjusted to perfect the kit. By early 2016, everything was ready for the product launch.

Zifnu Rocket Kit #1 launch via Kickstarter.com
The Zifnu Rocket Kit #1 was ready to be brought to market in early 2016. I decided to launch a
Kickstarter.com crowdfunding campaign to fund the first round of production and to raise awareness about the rocket
and Zifnu Electronics LLC in general. I drafted and launched the campaign towards the end of April 2016, with a set end
date of May 31st 2016 and a minimum funding goal of $50,000.
If you checked out the campaign page by clicking the link in the paragraph above, then you are already aware that the total funding amount only reached $9,168 by the end of the campaign. This amount does not include the pledge "adjustments" (aka pledge cancelations/reductions) which would have added an additional $1,295 to the total amount if the original pledge amount had not been adjusted. The adjustments are an odd phenomenom, some would pledge, only to cancel minutes later. Others pledged, but cancelled their pledge towards the end of the campaign, when it was apparent that the minimum funding goal would not be met. Even though they are not charged anything if the funding goal is not reached by the campaign end date. Obviously, these adjustments were not going to make a difference one way or another. I just found those trends interesting.
I'll be the first person to admit that a larger show of support for the kit was expected. The kit is unique, and as far as I know, the first of its genre anywhere. Granted, my opinion may be a bit biased. Although, in support of my opinion, all Feedback received regarding the kit was positive in nature, and many were excited to obtain, build, and modify the kit.
For now, the Zifnu Rocket Kit #1 is on hold while I decide its fate. In the meantime, I am readying a second product for launch.

The following sections will cover some select Zifnu products as they are created/prototyped/launched.
Zifnu Rocket Kit #1
The Zifnu Rocket Kit #1 is a fun-to-build kit for electronics and model hobbyist that combines a laser-cut display model
of a streamlined idealistic 20th century rocket ship with launchpad, and a microcontroller-controlled RGB LED Development
Board with 21-key Infrared remote control, to create an illuminated model that is designed to inspire and educate.
The part sheets for the rocket and launchpad model are laser-cut from premium unfinished multi-ply cross-woven Carbonized Bamboo sheets.
The RGB LED Development Board has a purpose and has some base functionality to build upon. Right out of the box it can be used as an accent or night light that is capable of reproducing over 3000 unique colors (firmware upgradeable to over 16M colors). But that is just the beginning. The development board has been designed to be upgraded, augmented, and other wise hacked to suit your needs, wants, or desires.
The kit includes a custom 21-key Infrared remote you can use to select between 6 monochromatic presets, 6 multi-color presets, or manually set a color option using the red, blue, and green keys.
